Partner with God for the Heart of Your Teen
Praying for Teen Girls
Prayer is not optional. Maybe it’s because I clearly see my lack, or maybe it’s because I love my daughters so very much. I simply know that I need to partner with God on this journey. And prayer, for most of my life, has been a lifeline to me. It has been the way I have held on to God, especially when I didn’t know what else to do. And having that kind of everyday access is a gift we can’t ever grow out of.

Praying for Teen Boys
One thing I know about having teenage children is that the way we parent changes. Gone are the days when we can control every little thing. These years have taught me more about how much I need Jesus than any other season of my children’s lives so far. Thankfully, the God of the Universe, Who created the hearts of our sons, opens His arms in invitation to us, saying, “Seek wisdom here!” and I have willingly come.

Learn to Partner with God
PARENTS: The teenage years are an emotional roller coaster, and can bring with them many challenges to our efforts to help our children see the world through the lens of the Bible.
Teenagers face temptations today that their parents never had to face, and this can cause some parents to shut down, and take a hands-off approach. But it’s during the teenage years that our children need their mother’s prayers the most.
The time is now to partner with God in prayer for the hearts of our teens.
Grounded in biblical wisdom, real-life (and sometimes hysterical teenage) stories (approved by the teens!), and full of scripture-based prayers, these books will equip you with the ability to impact generations to come, learning to be a mom who fights FOR her children instead of against them…all through the power of prayer.
About the Authors
Stacey Thacker is the mom of four girls (ages 25, 22, 18, and 15), an author of nine books, and is the Women’s Ministry Director at First Orlando.
Brooke McGlothlin is the mom of two boys (ages 17 and 19), author of eight books, the founder of Million Praying Moms, and Director of Client Services at Blue Ridge Women’s Center.
I’ve dreamed of writing Praying for Teen Boys since I released it’s “brother,” Praying for Boys, 10 years ago. My personal prayer journals are full of the prayers in this book as I’ve prayed them over my sons. God first wrote these words in my own heart. I pray they’ll do a generational work in yours.

There will be a price in fighting the current culture. If we want our children to be warriors, to know their purpose, and to be an example of endurance and courage in the hard times, we must pray. It will become our holy habit in these holy hard times.
